Good news Pokémon Purple and Scarlet: Last chance to take advantage of pre-order prices and bonuses!

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple will mark a major turning point in the history of the world’s highest-grossing franchise, and no one wants to miss it. The hype has exploded, the leaks are plentiful, and the last pre-order is done. To take advantage of one-day delivery at the best price and with some bonuses, it’s now or never.

Pokémon Purple and Pokémon Scarlet pre-orders: where’s the best price?

For every major game release, the JV tips team writes articles like this one. We know the state of the video game market by heart. As a matter of conscience, we always visit all the major merchant sites, but the result is always the same: for pre-orders (and only for pre-orders) nothing is cheaper than Fnac.

Before explaining why, let’s remember this this news is in no way sponsored by Fnac. Sponsored news must be legally reported and we always do. If the prices are lower than Leclerc or Cultura for example (these brands are not chosen randomly, they have been seen), we tell you. The truth is that Fnac is almost always cheaper.

Let’s get into the thick of it. Here is the the price list for the next Pokémon games :

  • As you know, a Nintendo game is offered for 60 € in dematerialized form in the eShop. You can pre-order it here to play the game from midnight, but this is the worst possible financial plan.
  • Many merchants will offer pre-order at 49 €, sometimes with a little spin-off or two. Better, but it is possible to pay less.
  • Amazon reference ensures one day shipping for 44 €without any pre-order gifts.
  • Finally, there is Fnac, which offers a noble steelbook to people who pre-order while showing the lowest price on the market: only €39. Going through Fnac pre-orders, I personally happened to be delivered a day before the release day of a game.

So why is Fnac cheaper? For one and only good reason: the Fnac+ card. This little wonder costs €9.99 per year for the first year then €14.90/year and is non-binding. By pre-ordering a Switch game with the Fnac+ card, you pay €49 for your game, but you spend €10 on your kitty (almost, it’s like you only spent €39). This €10 discount is also available for other consoles. It only takes 2 games per year to make the subscription worthwhile.

Pokémon Purple and Pokémon Scarlet: the big change marked by 9G

After trying out the not so technically successful but very enjoyable game that is Pokémon Arceus, here it is the first title in the main open-world Pokémon series ! A priori, Game Freak seems to have learned from its mistakes, and, although the title is not the most beautiful in the history of the Nintendo Switch, the result seems cleaner and more detailed than the deserts of Arceus.

Play Pokemon on his TV, in co-op and in an open world Stuffing pocket monsters was a dream for me as a kid and, I’m sure, for millions of other players. Finally we can collect the badges in the order we want, but also follow different challenges and narrative lines, according to our preferences!

In the scenario level, you can step into the shoes of a student at Academy Orange (Pokémon Scarlet) or Raisin (Pokémon Violet). An extracurricular project is organized in the form of a large treasure hunt, and, of course, many obstacles will stand in our way.

Lots of new Pokémon, a new region inspired by Spain, new strategic mechanics (can’t wait to see what this famous “teracrystallization” brings), 3 simultaneous narrative lines… 9G is already seen as a major turning point in the history of the franchise. No one wants to miss that, right?
