Elizabeth II’s funeral: the real reason behind Princess Charlotte’s tears

Attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday September 19, 2022, Princess Charlotte was seen crying during the ceremony. However, Prince William’s daughter did not cry.

The date of Thursday 8 September 2022 will now be celebrated annually in the UK. On this day, the record reign of Queen Elizabeth II ended, when the British Sovereign died at the age of 96. The monarch died peacefully surrounded by his family, gathered at his bedside on the same day, at his second home in Balmoral, Scotland. As a reminder, Elizabeth II ascended the British throne in 1952, succeeding her father, King George VI. At the time of the death of the former monarch, the young queen is only 25 years old. Subsequently, he became one of the most famous sovereigns in the entire history of Great Britain. In general, Elizabeth II reigned in England for 70 years.

Just a few months before her death, Elizabeth II celebrated her Platinum Jubilee. Before the celebration of his funeral, the coffin of the deceased Queen was brought to London, to be exposed in Westminster Hall for a few days. British citizens were thus able to move to pay him a final tribute.

Live broadcast worldwide, the anger of Elizabeth II gathered all members of the British royal family. The audience saw King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, Meghan MarklePrincess Charlotte, Prince George, James Mountbatten-Windsor, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward etc. Among them, Prince George and Princess Charlotte stood several times throughout the ceremony.

First of all, Prince George wears a navy blue dresswhich raises many questions.. Prince William’s eldest son, who is set to ascend the throne one day, also appeared to be missing during the coffin procession through the streets of London, somewhat upsetting his younger sister. So Princess Charlotte reframed him so that he respected official protocol like everyone else. Later during the ceremony, Kate Middleton’s daughter was seen crying. It looked like he was removing something from his eyes, or maybe shielding himself from the sun.
