19 flights were canceled due to the strike

Like all airlines that operate flights to and from France, the national airline Air Algérie was affected by the strike of French air traffic controllers that took place this Friday, September 16, at all airports in France. Due to this announced walkout, the Algerian company was forced to cancel 19 flights between Algeria and France, according to its explanatory statement published Thursday.

In fact, of the thirty flights in the Air Algerie program this Friday, at least 19 had to be canceled due to the strike launched by air traffic controllers. But the Algerian airline has found a trick so that this day is not a pure financial loss. Finally, there are only two flights completely canceled by the national flag, if we believe the press release published on social networks.

In fact, Air Algérie only canceled two return flights to and from Montpellier airport. In this case flights AH1070 and AH1071 between Montpellier and Algiers and flights AH1072 and AH1073 between the same French city and Oran. Passengers from another 17 canceled flights were transferred to other flights, with Air Algérie seeking to minimize financial losses as much as possible.

Air Algérie canceled 17 flights whose passengers were transferred to other flights

This is how 17 more canceled flights saw their passengers transferred to other flights, especially the larger ones between Paris and Algiers. Example: Passengers on canceled flights AH1000 and AH1214 between Algiers and Roissy-Charles De Gaulle were transferred to flight AH1514 on September 17 at 6:35 pm while those on flights AH1001 and AH1215 (between the same airports) should travel on flight AH10 16 at 9:40 pm

In fact, canceled flights whose passengers were transferred to other flights concerned almost all destinations, whether in France or Algeria. Air Algérie seems to have made their choice so that no region is harmed. This is how many airports are affected by this disruption, including Paris-Orly, Paris-Roissy, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse, in France. Shipping also affected Algerian airports including those in Algiers, Oran, Constantine, Tlemcen, Bejaïa, Sétif and Annaba.

Air Algérie maintains 6 flights and changed schedules for 4 more

Also, the national airline was forced to change the schedules for some of its flights to avoid their cancellation, due to this walkout of air traffic controllers. These are the four flights that connect Algiers to Lyon, Algiers to Marseille, Oran to Paris-Orly and Oran to Paris-Roissy. Finally, six Air Algérie flights continued as scheduled, including two between Algiers and Orly, two more between Algiers and Roissy, a 5th between Constantine and Orly and a 6th and last between Sétif and Lyon.
