Purchasing power: energy audit, Macron bonus, fuel aid … the aid schedule after the latest announcements

Following the latest announcements in the context of the energy crisis, new aid for purchasing power has been announced. Update on all developments as they come.

This is a year punctuated by inflation that awaits us. In this difficult economic context, various aids have been put in place by the government to help the most vulnerable. This Wednesday, September 15, faced with the increase in the price of gas and electricity, the Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne made a series of announcements. Gabriel Attal, in charge of Public Accounts, clarified the outlines. Energy audit, tariff shield, fuel assistance… We are taking stock.

The fuel discount

Passed in July 2022 as part of the purchasing power bill, the extension of the fuel discount was adopted in August 2022 t and applied on Thursday, September 1, 2022. 0.18 cents. To strengthen this assistance, the State decided to increase this rebate, from 0.18 cents to 0.30 cents.

However, this extraordinary assistance will disappear and pump prices are likely to rise.

In fact, this discount will gradually decrease, it will fall to 0.10 cents from November 1, 2022. The Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, recently confirmed the end date of this discount and it is set for Saturday, December 31, 2022.

fuel assistance

The Minister in charge of Public Accounts actually announced the franceinfo that the government is currently working on aid of up to 200 euros.

This development will be paid from November to about half of the French warm themselves with fuel oil. With a cost of “100 to 200 euros”, it will concern 1.4 million French people, or “half of the households that heat oil with gasoline”.

Family support allowance

The ASF paid to the parent raising one or more children alone without child support will be increased by 50% from November 2022. This measure was presented in a communication from the Minister of Solidarity to the Council of Ministers on September 14, 2022. Support for single-parent families is indeed one of the government’s priority policies.

From November, the family support allowance (ASF) or “minimum alimony” will be increased by 50%, it will rise from €122.92 to €184.38 per month and per child. This family benefit is paid by the Family Allowance Fund (Caf) or the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA), specifies the site of the Public Service.

Great back-to-school help

This extraordinary aid has been paid this Thursday, September 15 to the beneficiaries of the social minima, that is to say the people who receive the active solidarity income (RSA), allowance for disabled adults (AAH), the solidarity allowance for the elderly. and recipients of housing assistance such as APL.

Beneficiaries of the activity bonus are also concerned and will receive assistance of 28 euros, plus 14 euros per dependent child. But this help will come only in the middle of November.

Energy analysis

To protect the most modest, the Prime Minister announced the establishment of a unique energy audit. This will offset the +15% increase mentioned above. “This aid will concern the 12 million poorest households, i.e. four out of ten households, and its value will be 100 or 200 euros depending on income.” It will be paid at the end of the year.

The tariff shield

It has saved the French a lot of money since the start of the war in Ukraine.

The system put in place by the state is thus extended to 2023. Thanks to him, gas bills in France remained “stable” in France in 2022, while electricity bills increased by 4%. “Without government action, prices will increase by 2.2 at the beginning of next year,” said Elisabeth Borne.

So from the beginning of next year, the increase should be limited to + 15% in January and February. Concerned with the expansion of the tariff shield “all households, condominiums, social housing, small businesses and the smallest towns”, it is the State that will bring the price differences.

The Macron bonus

In 2022, Macron’s bonus system is extended and its value tripled under the purchasing power law passed this summer. He passed from 1,000 to 3,000 euros for everyone and from 2,000 to 6,000 euros for companies that have signed a profit-sharing agreement.

This year, owners have the possibility to pay the second bonus to share the amount, between August 1 and December 31, 2022, within the limits of the implemented limits. To have it, it is necessary to be bound by his company through an employment contract, to be a disabled worker under an ESAT, temporary or public agent (EPIC and EPA). As a reminder, this Macron bonus will be the same as an “employee dividend” as Emmanuel Macron described it.

All employers under private law can pay the premium.

Monetizing RTTs

A measure for the purchasing power of employees. RTTs can be purchased by companies, employees are not taxed on the amount of money as long as the amount does not exceed 7,500 euros. A proposal adopted on Friday, July 22 by the Assembly of deputies within the framework of proposals for the purchase of power.

This new possibility for employees is limited to the time between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023 to “allow the reflection and consultation of a more ambitious system”, reports. BFM TV.
