Star of 125 electric motorcycles, the Super Soco TC Max tops the sales in France. What is it really worth? The answer to this first test was carried out in the Paris region.
As one of the pure players in electric mobility, Super Soco has easily won over a range of electric two-wheelers that are both efficient and affordable. Flagship product of the Sino-Australian brand, the Super Soco TC Max is still at the top of the sales of electric motorcycles in France in the first half!
Central motor and removable battery
If a large part of Chinese electric motorcycles have a motor directly integrated in the rear wheel, the Super Soco chose a central motor connected to a belt transmission. Provided by Bosch, it develops 5 kW of power, classifying it as TC Max in the category of 125 equivalent electric motorcycles.
The battery is placed under the “tank”. Removable, it accumulates 3.2 kWh of energy capacity and recharges in 3h30. It can be recharged directly on the motorcycle or taken to charge at home or in the office. If this is a big advantage for those who live in an apartment and don’t have a parking space, you should consider doing some weight training sessions before carrying the package of more than 20 kilos.
Equipped with a handle for easy transport, the TC Max battery weighs more than 20 kilograms.
Located in the large battery, the space under the tank is not very big but allows you to store some things.
On the cycle side, the little Super Soco motorcycle is well designed with an aluminum swingarm, a nice little 35 mm anodized inverted fork and disc brakes. However, there is no ABS. The saddle is short but the bike is still approved for two people. In terms of finish, TC Max does not envy the big brands in the sector. The plastics fit well and the instrument is well made. It adds LED lighting to the front and rear lights.
Interesting point: the approximate size displayed on the dashboard changes automatically depending on the selected driving mode. With an 80% charged battery, the odometer showed us 110 km in “1” mode, the most economical. At the third level, the strongest, the estimate drops to 55 km.

Good for the city
To begin with, we chose the most economical way. Well adapted, it is perfectly suited for urban use. To begin with, we proceed without pressure. On the other hand, the engine brake is very light or almost non-existent. Very nice to use, the Super Soco motorcycle offers an excellent turning radius and relatively light weight, only 120 kilos, which is very easy to handle. Narrow, very easy to squeeze between the line of cars.
Despite the slightly longer foot clips, the riding position remains correct, especially for a motorcycle of this size. In terms of suspensions, the entire suspension is excellent although the shock absorber may seem a little busy in extra-urban areas.
Ideal for the city, this Super Soco TC Max is as comfortable on motorways and expressways and can easily reach its 110 km/h top speed. In terms of autonomy, it is necessary to count 70 – 80 km by passing the expressways. In town and by favoring mode 1, which is more than enough, you can travel several hundred kilometers. Very good considering the battery capacity.

An affordable electric motorcycle
As one of the cheapest electric motorcycles on the market, the Super Soco TC Max can be found for less than € 5,000 excluding state aid.
If it remains more expensive than its thermal equivalents, let’s not forget to count the savings that will be obtained every day in the price of gasoline if not in parking that will soon be paid for by thermal motorcycles in the capital.
