Inflation: find out the salary increase planned for 2022 and 2023!

Companies are reviewing their compensation policies

In fact, companies should check their compensation policies. The insurance brokerage WTW conducted a survey about the remuneration policies of these companies. According to this survey, 35% of these companies are considering increasing their annual salary budget.

The survey also revealed that 34% they want to emphasize the non-financial elements of compensation. and 30% overlooking additional budgets for addition if necessary.

Additions for groups of employees

The investigation also revealed other interesting elements. 23% French companies plan to increase for groups of employees. Between these 23%, some have already made the rise. The increase in inquiry focuses on high-risk retention employees.

However, it also targets those with unique or critical skills. 59% of organizations, or 6 out of 10, want to study the case of the lowest salary. 21% of them planning to adjust the salary scales. only 9% of these organizations are considering the implementation of a second round of salary increases.

A revaluation of 3.1% on average in 2022

Khalil Ait-Moouloud, WTW’s compensation survey director, spoke to BFM Business. According to him, this is to pay reduced purchasing power companies think “collective rise”.

Significant salary increase in 2023

Revaluations will become more important in 2023. In fact, they will happen 3.3% on average. Here’s what it looks like:

  • For executives and managers: +3.1% in 2022 and +3.3% in 2023
  • For technicians and employees: + 3% in 2022 and + 3.3% in 2023
  • For managers: +2.8% in 2022 and +3.2% in 2023
  • For manual workers: +2.8% in 2022 and +3% in 2023

This ranking shows that executives and managers have bigger upgrades. The revaluations differ from one position to another. Therefore, technicians and employees are in second place. In the third position are the leaders and in the fourth position are the workers.

Different revaluation from one European country to another

As said above, France is not the only one facing inflation. Other European countries also have their own account. However, in France, this inflation is less important compared to other developed countries. So, salary increase happens according to the level of inflation.

So it is clear that in France, the wage increase is different from other countries. In other words, they are less important there than in other European countries. Indeed, in top 15 economy in Europe, companies are considering raising wages to 4.9% generally. These increases are planned for 2022 and 2023, while in 2021 there is less than 0.9 points.

Employees in the United Kingdom should see their wages increase by 4% in 2022. In Germany, wages should increase by 3.8%. In Spain, on the other hand, the revaluations 3.6%. The United States is also planning a wage increase. This will be common 4% in 2022 and 2023 it will amount to 4.1%.
