FORT BOYARD – It was not usual, not in the snow that the Olympic champion in mogul skiing Perrine Laffont stood but in Fort Boyard. During the episode broadcast on Saturday July 30 on France 2, the athlete gave a lesson in courage and self-transcendence by doing a test with snakes, an animal of which he has a phobia.

During the final challenge of this team consisting of swimmer Alain Bernard, the couple of sports influencers Juju Fitcats and Tibo in Shape, presenter Alex Goude, ex-rugby player Vincent Clerc and former Koh Lanta candidate Freddy, Perrine Laffont was appointed to go to the library. The test consists of crawling on the ground, under the floor, to retrieve a grimoire where a clue is hidden.

When his name was spoken, he held his head in his hands, almost in disgust. Bewildered, he confided to his teammates: “I like snakes”. “I really expected the worst. I really have a phobia. It scares me. I think it’s the fear of the bite, the way he moves or how he goes on top of me, that really turns me off. “also explains the ski champion in front of the camera before entering the dusty room.

“That was terrible! »

To his greatest despair, the presenter Olivier Mines determined that about forty snakes were waiting for him. Despite the fear, he entered the library, ready to crawl. But almost on the ground, he saw snakes growling at him. Almost crying, he still continued to take out the grimoire. When the mission is over, however, he must return, once again among the reptiles. “stop”he shouted, panicking, as he made his way to the exit.

Just in time, he manages to get out of the room with the grimoire and thus the crucial clue to finding the final riddle. Under the praises of his teammates and the presenter who congratulated him on his achievement “beyond (his) limits”, he breathed again. “ It’s horrible, frankly. This shows, I thought to myself, he commented. If he outdoes himself, it’s because he thinks “to the team, to the kids” in the Premiers de Cordée association where the team plays.

His bravery was also noticed by Internet users, many of whom praised him, as you can see in the selected tweets below.

After searching for the code word and unlocking the money, the band was finally able to raise 18,560 euros for the association Premiers de cordée, which offers sport initiations for hospitalized children.
