Bonus of 185 € for French: here are those who are worried about this help!

The economic situation in France is alarming. This is why the government is looking for all means supporting households the most modest. Recently, the State implemented a activity bonus revaluation. We tell you all the details in this article.

The upgrade that became necessary

The Drees and the CAF conducted a study in the past. Their goal is to determine if the revaluation of the activity bonus has a positive effect. Indeed, it is. The increase in aid will actually allow beneficiaries to replenish their funds. Especially thatan increase of more than 100 euros planned.

The beneficiaries in question are people who get the minimum wage. Especially those “whose income is between 1,000 and 1,500 euros per month”. Thanks to the reform, the latter has the possibility to receive up to 300 euros per month.

“Between the so-called “no reform” situation and the “real” situation, the number of households benefiting from the activity bonus increased by 37%”, informs CAF and DREES.

Reasons for upgrading

Two reasons led to this rapid increase : the increase of recourse and the opening of the rights of new households. For families entitled to the bonus, even without the reform, the revaluation is even more fun.

The truth is that 86% theirs “see the amount of their activity bonus increase”. Estimated increase “at 70 euros per month on average”.

The study carried out by the CAF and the DREEs made it possible to establish the following:

  • For a single parent with a dependent child and earning an income of 1.2 SMIC: the activity bonus increases to 90 euros per month.
  • For a couple who both earn the minimum wage: each one benefits fromincrease of 90 euros every month. Together, so they can understand “up to 180 extra euros per month activity bonus”.

“Of the 100 beneficiaries of PA in 2019: 90 are winners of the reform and 10 are not affected by it. 27 winners because they are not beneficiaries without reform (17 cannot be qualified and 10 do not have this option), “said Fabrice Lenglart, director of Drees.

Activity bonus rights

Introduced in 2016, the activity bonus financial aid intended for student-employees, self-employed workers and apprentices. CAF will pay this to encourage the most vulnerable workers to continue a professional activity.

To be eligible for the activity bonus in France, you must respect some eligibility criteria.

Here they are:

  • The income must not exceed the ceiling established by CAF
  • Has French nationality
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a resident card or residence permit if you are a foreigner
  • Live in Metropolitan France or in departments abroad

It should be noted that the allocation of this aid done every month. Its value also varies according to the composition of the family.

In addition, it is possible to estimate your rights to the bonus activity thanks to an online simulator. This simulator is free and you can use it whether you are a beneficiary or not.

Re premium payment, it follows the same principle as RSA. This means that those who qualify for assistance must declare their income every three months. In addition, they must notify CAF or MSA of their status.

Here are the resources that will be announced during the declaration:

  • Professional income (income from internship, salary, etc.)
  • The so-called replacement income (alimony, health benefits, disability pensions)
  • The housing package

Activity bonus calculation

The amount of the activity bonus varies according to the resources received by the household. To make the calculation, CAF considers:

  • Income from capital or assets
  • The salary (we don’t take into account the working hours, only the income)
  • Social assistance
  • Replacement allowances

It should be seen that the employees paid the minimum wage not necessarily eligible for the activity bonus. This is why, in 2019, the increase in assistance did not affect the income of some workers who are paid the minimum wage.
