1. Retrospective of award-winning films
For a taste of the FFA, meet at 6 pm in the Ice room of the CGR in Angoulême, from Tuesday August 9 to Monday August 22. 2. Sessions outside the department
Along with this retrospective, outdoor sessions will also take place across the Charente, at 10 p.m. These screenings are free and offered by the Department, with the support of the municipalities, Ciné passion 16 and Magélis. 3. Cinema-concerts during FFA
Three cine-concerts have also been announced at the Angoulême theatre, from 7 pm and at €2.5 entry. Thursday, August 25, “Divertimento” by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar will open the ball. The screening will be followed by a symphonic concert with an orchestra conducted by Zahia Zouani, whose life inspired the film. On Friday August 26, the film “Chœur de rockers” by Ida Techer and Luc Bricault will be screened before a concert by the Salt and Pepper choir from Dunkirk, whose story inspired the film. Finally, “Je t’aime moi non plus” by Serge Gainsbourg (1975) will be screened. The screening will be presented by actress and director Julie Gayet and will be followed by a musical conversation with songwriter Alex Beaupain and Dominique Besnehard, co-director of FFA.
The Red Lion hosts an exhibition of Rwandan photographs
From August 8 to September 3, the restaurant Le Lion rouge, located on Place Louvel, will show 30 prints. They were taken by Rwandan photographer Jacques Nkinzingabo. “Rwanda took themsaid Marie-France Brière. There are many with scenes, characters…”. Rwanda is the country invited, for this edition, by FFA.
