Hunter Durendil Solos Sire Denathrius in Castle Nathria – World of Warcraft

I would love to hear from Durendil. I always wonder what the next exploit he will tell me and what will be the WoW boss that falls for his blows. I remind you that he specializes in soloing bosses, which is a risky but very rewarding exercise. This time, the Hunter has won Sir Denathriusthe last boss of Castle Nathria.

It was terrifying and as you can see, Durendil needed a lot of courage and endurance to defeat Denathrius alone. 733 tests. SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY THREE 😀

Let’s congratulate him warmly and I’ll leave it to him to detail the fight below. It’s interesting and proves that you don’t have to stop thinking, even if it means going back to a strategy that didn’t seem right at first.

Finally, after 8 weeks of intense testing and 20 different sub-strategies, I got Denathrius! I made a video with description and strategy in subtitles, but for non-English speakers, here is a little explanation.

Last year, I was saddened by the lack of truly epic BFA bosses. I enjoyed Tazavesh, but he was worse than Mechagon (and I didn’t get the final boss – shame). But nothing compares to the Mythic Kil’Jaeden, those absolutely awesome bosses you get once per set.

But to my delight, Shadowlands has an epic and almost impossible boss… Denathrius! Finally, like KJ, he is very possible in the next patch, but like KJ I dropped him a week early because otherwise it would be admitting defeat against a boss that was easily defeated by 10 who is not a hunter of the 200 thing.

Honestly, I’d even say he’s a little harder than KJ Mythic – because there are 20 different ways to approach P2, which is hyper chaotic and determines the boss’s life in P3 – you have to pass the boss at 41% before. the timer runs out – and determines if you survive P3, because there are 12 cabalists and you have to kill as few as possible but enough to survive.

That’s why I have to 733 test, but P1 costs me 75-80% – even with dps optimization, I have trouble passing often, and the fart is taken from these slaps … P3 is more difficult in terms of dps, and should you to chain. pet grooming too – which causes GCDs to disappear. And at 12 minutes he gets angry and AoE one-shots everyone.

And I’m not talking about the 8 Mythical+ per week (so 64) for the weekly chest, where I heroically fight against the desire to do something else with my life.

But finally, after a “perfect” test (boss at 41% of P3, no pet death) at 8% of AoE spec (because max survival), I switched to Mono spec. I optimized dps and especially survivability because I lost a third of what I pierced. Try to be perfect and the boss is at 6%. At 40%, more.

So I pulled out all the stops: Mono spec with Execute talents! Which didn’t help with wiping P1, low dps on P2, and even worse survivability. So I had to optimize P2 to death and put tank hits on the boss in addition to not get hit too much.

Another perfect test, but absolutely perfect, and there… 4%. That’s 10% of 40%, 380k, with no burst of 30 seconds.

It’s dead. I had a spec that did the most dps with Mono Execute, so at P3, and I passed the boss by 41%. Twenty tries, including 3 perfect ones, and it’s not going to drop. I have Vantus and everything. Even though I looted Rygelon’s weapon, it wasn’t enough.

But I know another strat, thrown towards the 250 pullover because it is not usable: if the P3 lasts 4 minutes 20, why not keep his 2-minute CD for bursting 3 times? The reason is simple: if I do that, I can’t pass P1, or I can pass P3 with 47% at best.

Except I have an AoE spec. Who has the worst dps in P3, but the best in P2 with 2 targets (boss + sword). And I spent 400 attempts to optimize P2 (and wipe P1. Mostly.). And this spec has more survivability, allowing you to ignore 2 more cabalists than the Mono Execute spec.

As a result, it was very difficult, but I got the P3 boss at 41% stack, using only a 2 minute Burst, and with 4:30 minutes before berserk.

And there, everything fell like dominoes. In the previous spec, I used my 2nd pot at 6 minutes, so my second burst of P3 was at 11 minutes. It was at 9:40. So it hit 20% very fast, and I was able to start chaining killshots – and gaining a lot of dps. Additionally, the AoE spec is the one with the most focused problems, so regular downtime. So I lost my dps to use pet care because I always stopped it in a dead time.

And that’s how I succeeded in the last mono dps race with Denathrius: in my AoE spec. That’s why I love soloing. And that I love this boss.

Next expansion, I did it in Mythic. Where the boss has more life and P3 lasts 3min15 instead of 4min20. So I’m really excited for Dragonflight, I think the Shadowlands raids will be awesome solo.

See you soon, whether in season 4 or 10.0.
