LOSC – RCD Espanyol Barcelona (0-2): LOSC deserved better

A few hours after the draw against Las Palmas, the Mastiffs are back on the pitch for the second game in Spain. In the beautiful facilities of the Marbella Football Center, Lille face Espanyol Barcelona this Sunday morning. In front of nearly 1,000 spectators, LOSC lost by conceding two goals in the second half. Next game next Friday against Cadiz.

THE CONTEXT

Ten hours of repair and the Mastiffs were back in battle. After a great draw against Las Palmas last night (2-2), Jonathan David’s teammates, once again a scorer, faced the fourteenth in the last season of La Liga, RCD Espanyol Barcelona. Both teams that changed coaches in the offseason are looking for their first win after a draw for each side. Friday night the men of former Granada coach Diego Martinez conceded a goalless draw against Las Palmas (0-0), they will face Napoli for their last pre-season game before starting their championship against Celta Vigo. In the Spanish squad, there are two famous faces from Ligue 1 with the former Monaco goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte and Sergi Darder, Olympique Lyonnais midfielder from 2015 to 2017.

LOSC lost 2-0 against a good team from Espanyol Barcelona, ​​​​​​​​​but the Mastiffs deserved better because of their many chances. They fell to an excellent Benjamin Lecomte who knew how to preserve the advantage gained by Diego Martinez’s players after the break.
